Zu Beginn jeden Jahres übernimmt "The New Canterbury Social Commity and Dance Society" eine Reise zu einem großen Landgasthaus, um einen Ball mit Country-Dances zu feiern. Bedauerlicherweise kam es zu einer Doppelbuchung. Eine andere Ballgesellschaft veranstaltet "The Night of Foreign Affairs", Morisquen, Bouffons, Battaglien, martialische Bräuche vom "Kontinent".
Stoff für eine turbulente Nacht.
